I have said I have always wanted to be a therapist, from the early age of fifteen. I think at the time, I knew that the help I needed was the help that I would like to provide to others one day. As an early teen, I navigated life through a narrow lens that lacked self-love. I struggled with an eating disorder for almost half of my life. Only through years of therapy was I able to begin the journey of becoming connected to my body and slowly learning to love myself one bit at a time. The process of healing only inspired me more to pursue a bachelor’s in psychology at the University of Delaware and then my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at West Chester University of Pennsylvania.

In my undergraduate studies I worked in research with children who were adopted internationally and foster children through various behavior and emotion regulation assessments and interventions, where I learned how attachment and self-regulation is learned from the time we enter this world. Through my studies in my master’s program, I worked closely with eating disorders and complex trauma.

As I transitioned to working in community mental health for three years, I quickly learned my love for working with the LGBTQIA population, complex trauma, eating disorders, grief, and neurodiverse folks of all ages. Being a queer, neurodivergent woman helps me relate to my clients in a way that I am beyond grateful for, and I am committed to continuing my education through my own therapeutic work as well as obtaining a certification in EMDR.

I approach therapy through a supportive lens where I strive to create and maintain a safe space for self-exploration and healing. My passion lies in somatic therapy and helping others to create a deeper mind-body connection and learn ways to maintain a safe, and regulated state in the body. I also work to connect clients to their inner child, navigate complex grief, and build self-compassion in a world with a plethora of unrealistic standards. I hope to work alongside of you to create lasting change and I very much look forward to meeting you!
